Bonneville Academy is the only charter school serving the Stansbury Park neighborhood, with an enrollment of 702 students in a 50,000 SF building. The schools STEM focus required lab infrastructure far beyond typical schools at this age to allow for direct experience with testing and discovery. The school also provides experiences for students to connect with professionals in the real world and understand subjects from the other side. The colorful exterior of the building became a direct expression of the excitement for learning that the school can create. The site was masterplanned for future expansions either into additional K-8 classes or adding a wing for higher grades, allowing for future flexibility. In addition to regular classrooms and the science / technology lab infrastructure, two gym spaces and a music room that could all open up to become an auditorium allows for exploration into other fields.
