Dave has spent the majority of his career focused on office and workplace design — work driven by a genuine fascination with how the modern office continues to evolve and what that means for the people who use it every day. He has also developed deep expertise in cleanroom environments, including pharmaceutical, medical device, and food manufacturing facilities — technically demanding project types that require both precision and creative problem-solving. What keeps Dave engaged after two decades in the industry is straightforward: the same challenge never presents itself twice. Outside of work, he fly fishes whenever life allows, and loves hiking and skiing with his son.

John Branson is a Principal at Babcock Design with nearly 37 years of experience in the industry. His project history spans an exceptional breadth — warehouses, correctional facilities, libraries, aquatic centers, museums, and more — the kind of range that comes only from decades of showing up for whatever a client needs. John is drawn above all to the people this work puts him in contact with, both the colleagues who share the studio and the clients and communities encountered along the way. Outside of work, he stays in motion — traveling, biking, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, painting, and reading.

Joe is an Associate and Project Manager with 30 years of experience in the architecture industry. His project background is broad, spanning industrial, multifamily, office, custom homes, and tenant improvements — a range that has sharpened his ability to manage complexity and deliver results across diverse project types. Joe brings deep expertise and steady leadership to every engagement. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, rock climbing, and mountain biking.

Larry is a Partner at Babcock Design with more than three decades of experience in the industry, beginning his career hand drafting in a three-person architecture firm in 1990. His project experience spans an extraordinary range — from the Ute Indian Tribe Detention Center and South Jordan Public Safety facility to the Utah Hockey Practice Center, Utah Jazz Practice Center, Days of 47 Rodeo Arena, and Riverbend Meats Processing Plant. Larry brings analytical depth and a genuine love of creative problem-solving to every project, finding fulfillment in the investigation that precedes good design. Outside of work, he values time with his family, enjoys traveling, and plays guitar.

Lou is a Principal at Babcock Design with 30 years of experience in the industry, leading marketing and business development, staff development, and project management across the firm. He oversees the retail and restaurant project sector and brings a relationship-driven approach to everything he does — one grounded in genuine connection with clients and a deep satisfaction in helping bring their vision to life. For Lou, the most rewarding part of the work is providing a real solution to a real challenge. Outside of work, his family comes first. He stays active through mountain biking, fly fishing, and pickleball.

Wes is a Partner at Babcock Design with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, including 18 years with the firm. His project experience spans charter schools, retail, office, libraries, industrial, and more — a breadth that reflects his versatility and adaptability as a design professional. Ricky is an Associate and Project Manager with 20 years of experience in the architecture industry. Kimber is the Interior Design Director and FFE Director for Babcock Design's Salt Lake City studio, with 15 years of experience in the industry. She leads interior design across a diverse range of project types including amenity spaces, multifamily, healthcare, restaurants, and sports centers — bringing a refined eye and a deep understanding of how people experience the spaces they occupy. Kimber is known for her ability to balance aesthetics with function and for delivering interiors that feel intentional from every angle. Exotic lands inform Carmine through beauty, order, meaning and connection to the community. As the son of immigrants from Italy, Carmine has an innate passion for the diversity found from one culture to another and how the built environment is reflected within them. To feed that passion, he has joined design teams to design and build schools, homes and hospitals in Honduras, Africa and the Philippines.

Cullen is a Project Architect with 10 to 12 years of experience in the industry. He specializes in industrial architecture — warehouses with administrative support spaces, science and technology facilities, oil and gas infrastructure, component manufacturing environments, and lab planning. It is precise, complex work that demands both technical rigor and creative coordination, and Cullen brings genuine enthusiasm to both.
