—  OVERVIEW

The Utah Military Academy’s new 54,000 SF Lehi campus reflects its commitment to academic excellence and leadership development for grades 7-12. Designed to prepare students for U.S. Military Academies or ROTC scholarships, the school emphasizes discipline, community engagement, and core values.

Located near Camp Williams Army Base, the school benefits from partnerships with active-duty personnel, integrating real-world expertise into the curriculum. The building combines traditional classrooms with open cadet gathering spaces to encourage collaboration and social interaction. Inspired by military academies, its design incorporates a subdued color palette and harmonizes with the surrounding neighborhood. The campus also includes facilities for year-round athletics, such as a gymnasium, drill spaces, and a large playing field.

Babcock Design worked closely with school leaders and developers to ensure the layout met the academy’s specialized curriculum needs. This collaboration seamlessly integrated functionality with visionary design, supporting the school’s mission and growth.
