— OVERVIEW
A FAMILY RESTAURANT BRAND ELEVATED WITHOUT LOSING WHAT MADE IT REAL.
La Casa Del Tamal didn't need to be reinvented — it needed to be honored. What began as a family tamales operation out of a home in West Valley City had grown into one of Utah's most recognized homegrown restaurant brands, and when founder Andres Sanchez was ready to open a second location in Salt Lake City's Post District, the design had to carry that story forward without losing what made it real. Through multiple work sessions and design charrettes, Babcock developed a space that captures the warmth and authenticity of the brand while elevating it to match the ambitions of a family that had outgrown their first location. Bold materials and colors establish the foundation. Luxurious fabrics, patterns, and textures add refinement without formality. Thoughtfully designed lighting and a variety of dining configurations ensure the space works for an intimate dinner and a large family gathering equally well. It's a restaurant that looks like what La Casa Del Tamal has always been — and everything it's becoming.
