Westlake Shopping Center serves as the retail anchor for Saratoga Springs and the surrounding communities — including Eagle Mountain, where retail options are limited — making its design as much a civic gesture as a commercial one. The site presented real challenges, and the team's response was a true cross-discipline partnership that identified cost-effective solutions without compromising the vision. Careful building placement prioritized tenant visibility and efficient vehicular and pedestrian circulation from the start. The material palette keeps the development grounded and timeless: durable simulated wood siding as the foundation, three complementary EIFS color options for visual continuity, bold black steel canopy accents, and dark storefront glazing that gives the center a distinctive presence without demanding constant maintenance. The result is a flexible, attractive development built to accommodate a wide range of tenants today and adapt to whatever comes next.
