— OVERVIEW
A SHOPPING CENTER DESIGNED TO STAND OUT FROM EVERY OTHER ONE ON THE CORRIDOR.
Riverdale Town Square set out to be something the corridor didn't already have: a shopping center worth noticing. The exterior material palette — European Oko Skin concrete siding, corrugated metal, and brick — gives the development a considered, layered quality that stands apart from the standard retail box. Twelve-foot storefronts maximize natural light and create a street-level presence that benefits tenants and shoppers equally. Vertical steel plate fins integrated into the facade serve double duty, complementing the architecture while providing designated, protected areas for tenant signage — a detail that came directly from understanding how retail tenants actually operate. Babcock also assisted the owner through the Letter of Intent process, ensuring branding and operational requirements were addressed before a single tenant moved in.
