The Iron County Sheriff's Complex grew out of a longstanding client relationship — one established through the completed Kane County Sheriff's Complex. A referral between the two departments brought Babcock Design to Iron County, resulting in a full design commission for this 672-bed facility, now under construction.
The complex is designed for phased growth, opening with two complete pods of jail cells and planned capacity for a third. The main floor accommodates a vehicle sallyport, booking area, visitation, public lobby, and transportation administration. Sheriff's administration occupies the second floor, with offices, meeting rooms, a gym, training areas, and space reserved for future expansion.
