— OVERVIEW
A WORKPLACE BUILT FOR COMPANIES WHO REFUSE TO COMPROMISE.
Traverse Heights was conceived as a top-of-market workplace product for high-net-worth companies — distinctive in form, uncompromising in material quality.
Sited on a prominent bluff overlooking the I-15 corridor with views across the Wasatch range, the building's dynamic form reaches out over Utah Valley. Structurally, the building is entirely concrete — post-tension suspended slabs, columns, and shear walls — a decision that avoided prohibitive steel lead times while creating an unparalleled interior: flat slab ceilings with a clear height of 12 feet throughout.
Drawing on east-Asian principles of asymmetry with balance, the building flows from exterior to interior without interruption. A façade made entirely of vision glass — floor to floor, no opaque panels — was made possible by sophisticated heating and cooling systems that freed the envelope from conventional constraints.
The ownership group was intensely involved at every turn, driving the design team toward their vision of beauty defined by minimalist simplicity and an exceptional material palette.
