Babcock Design served as lead designer for Firelight, a 1,749-acre master planned resort community at the gateway to Zion National Park. Our work encompassed the full planning framework — from site analysis and land use organization to residential typologies, commercial planning areas, trail and parks systems, and zoning documentation for city approval. Working closely with the development team and Toquerville City, Babcock Design navigated a complex MPDO process to establish planning standards that could accommodate a community of this scale while staying grounded in the character and landscape of southern Utah.
