  OVERVIEW

A BBQ INSTITUTION'S DESIGN PROTOTYPE — BUILT TO SCALE WITHOUT LOSING ITS SOUL.

R&R BBQ built its reputation the hard way — competition wins, national recognition, and lines of people willing to wait for the real thing. The design had to be just as honest. Rough wood and steel set a rustic yet modern tone, while a chalk art wall and hanging wood ceiling sculptures give the space a creative energy that goes beyond the expected. Before touching the design, Babcock Design spent time understanding how R&R actually operates — studying the cook line and kitchen flow to drive a layout redesign focused on efficiency without sacrificing character. The result became a prototype R&R could take into future locations without losing the soul of what made people line up in the first place.
