Nampa Library Square

Nampa, Idaho

Nampa Library has joined the modern library design fray and is the focal point of Nampa Library Square, a redevelopment of an entire city block in downtown Nampa, Idaho. The site was previously occupied by a vacant bank building, a police station, and an under-used public park. The 3-story, 62,000 sf library is the main anchor for the block and services as part community center and part gathering space. This cutting-edge library also has a 3rd floor exterior patio that looks onto the plaza below.

In addition to the library is a 300 stall parking structure, a 3-story office building and single-story retail building. Each building fronts the new public plaza with fountains, outdoor dining, grass and other enhancing landscape amenities.

The city operates and maintains the library, while Nampa Development Corporation operates the parking garage and plaza. Gardner Company owns and manages the office and retail space on the rest of the block.
